Recent Projects

Before you decided on how best Oakover Contracting Ltd. can help you, why not take a look at some of our recently completed projects, below. Here you’ll find a broad selection of work we’ve undertaken both as project managers and on full contract, along with an outline of how we best fulfilled each client’s brief. We hope they provide some inspiration.

This spectacular addition to a modest detached home, designed and constructed in a sympathetically contemporary country style, has transformed the property’s exterior character while dramatically increasing the internal living space, doubling the total square footage, creating two extra bedrooms to produce a luxury five-bedroom family home that combines rural character with modern conveniences, and unique design touches such as the elegant curving wall of the new en-suite wet-room. Regardless of these exciting challenges, Oakover Contracting…
Constructed over three floors this dramatic rear extension was coupled with a complete interior redesign and full refurbishment, which went as far as converting the existing loft. Completed by Oakover Contracting, once again on budget and within the six months stipulated, the results of this ambitious project have proved well worth the effort, with new oak flooring laid throughout, two extra bedrooms, and an amazing new open-plan kitchen and living space at the back of…
This extension project, conceived to add an extra 100m2 of fresh living space to a standard three-bedroom property, has not only reshaped the entire internal layout, it’s completely changed the way it’s owners live, not least thanks to Oakover Contracting’s instillation of cutting-edge energy saving systems within the build, such as the economic and efficient air source heat-pump now linked to under-floor heating throughout the home.
Using the original vernacular style to create a seamless addition, Oakover Contracting doubled the internal living area of another rural property, this time a small, two-bedroom farm-workers cottage, which has been transformed into a comfortable and spacious five-bedroom family home – all achieved in just under six-months thanks to a clever combination of construction techniques, including traditional brick and block work to the ground floor of the extension with super fast timber frame construction to the first floor.
This smaller scale extension of a period terrace property has achieved no-less dramatic results, thanks to imaginative interior design and clever use of available space. A modest single storey, one-room extension at the rear of this house has turned a cramped cottage into a cosy contemporary home, filled with restored period detailing and boasting a new, open kitchen/dining area that allows light to flood through the core of the building.
Once the clients were finally given the planning go-ahead to create this elegant new timber frame home, they were eager to ensure that the build went smoothly and swiftly, so Oakover Contracting were asked to assist with the project management, overseeing and coordinating all the logistical elements of this intricate build project. We’re delighted that the property’s proud new owners were able to enjoy the spectacular finished results well within their stipulated six-month completion deadline…
Rescuing a dilapidated barn of this age and proportion was always going to be a challenge, but by carefully stripping the building back to its original oak timber frame and meticulously securing the framework structure, Oakover Contracting assisted on this project by providing both project management and contract administration, to ensure completion of a full and thorough conversion that has created a dramatic new functional living space.
This large-scale ground-up build, employing Oakover Contacting as the main contractor, involved the construction of a series of modern offices to create a business centre, sensitively designed to blend into it’s rural location.
This day-care nursery was converted by Oakover Contracting from Victorian brick out buildings that were originally used as a farm dairy. Finished to the highest possible standards, the complex now provides a safe and friendly environment for up to 40 young children.
